Jonas Bear & The Little Otter: The Bridge of Connection
Jonas Bear’s island is still quiet.
The wooden bridge stretches to the shore, but no one crosses it—except for the little otter.
She visits often, bringing stories from the shore.
Sometimes she brings wild berries. Sometimes she brings silly jokes.
Jonas listens. He doesn’t always say much. The little otter is not sure if he enjoys her visits.
One evening, as the sun sets, the otter comes toward him.
“I know we have our own rhythms in life,” she says. “But I feel there’s a deep connection between us. No matter what happens, I hope we can continue to maintain this relationship.”
Jonas watches the water. The waves move slowly, just like his thoughts.
Finally, he nods. “I don’t mind having you here.”
The otter grins. “Good! Because I like being here!”
They sit in comfortable silence, watching the stars appear.
